Most people searching for the “US embassy Dubai contact number” want help with a visa appointment, and that call often goes to the wrong place. The switchboards handle US citizen matters, while visa bookings, payments and accounts are run by a separate customer service centre. Here is who to contact for what, with the details checked on 30 October 2026.
New to the process? Our US visa from Dubai guide explains the full B1/B2 application, step by step.
Match your problem to the right channel before you pick up the phone. Visa questions go to the visa customer service centre or into your scheduling account; US citizen emergencies go to the embassy or consulate.
| Your situation | Who to contact | How |
|---|---|---|
| General visa question, fee payment, booking or login problem | Visa customer service centre (ustraveldocs.com/ae) | +971 4 205 5981, support-uae@usvisascheduling.com, or Talk to an Agent and Chat with Support on the contact page |
| You want an earlier date or missed your interview | Your scheduling account first, then the service centre | Log in to usvisascheduling.com and check for earlier dates; for a missed interview, email support-uae@usvisascheduling.com |
| A genuine emergency needs an expedited interview | The embassy or consulate, through your account | Visa Application Home, then “Emergency Request”, after you have booked a regular appointment |
| Wrong DS-160 number or passport details on your profile | Your scheduling account | “Feedback/Requests” or “Information Correction” on Visa Application Home; email the service desk if you cannot log in |
| US citizen with an emergency in Abu Dhabi | US Embassy Abu Dhabi | 02 414 2200 (+971 2 414 2200 from abroad), including outside office hours |
| US citizen with an emergency in Dubai | US Consulate General Dubai | 04 309 4000 (+971 4 309 4000 from abroad), including outside office hours |
| US citizen routine services (passports, notarials, births) | American Citizen Services | Its own appointment system, linked from ae.usembassy.gov; email enquiries to support-acs-uae@usvisascheduling.com |
| Someone asked you to pay extra fees for a slot or a form | US Department of State | The fraud reporting page on travel.state.gov, which the UAE contact page links to |
The visa helpline is run by the customer service centre on ustraveldocs.com/ae, and the US Mission’s visas page lists the same details. These are the contacts as published on 30 October 2026.
The ustraveldocs contact page offers four channels: Talk to an Agent, Chat with Support, Send an Email and Contact the HelpDesk. Talk to an Agent is a free, audio only call made through your browser in Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Opera. Chat with Support is a text chat on the same page. If you need a written record, use email.
Use these details for US citizen matters and for finding the building, not for visa questions.
There is no separate US embassy in Dubai; the Dubai office is a consulate general. For directions, what to bring and what is not allowed through security, read our full guide to the US Embassy Abu Dhabi and US Consulate Dubai.
Many visa problems are solved faster inside your own account than by phone. The UAE uses ustraveldocs.com/ae for information and usvisascheduling.com for the account itself.
Replies about expedite requests come by email from do-not-reply@usvisascheduling.com, so check your junk and spam folders. If you cannot get into your account at all, our guide to ustraveldocs and usvisascheduling account recovery covers passwords, security questions and locked profiles.
The helpline gives general information and fixes account and booking issues. It cannot produce appointments that do not exist, and it has no say in the visa decision.
Agents can help with payments, profile access and the booking steps. The terms say they cannot help complete the DS-160 or DS-260, advise which visa class to apply for, or say which documents to bring to the interview. The call centre cannot schedule an expedited appointment for you, earlier appointments are granted only if slots are available, and the decision to issue or refuse a visa is made solely by the embassy or consulate.
The calendar is the real problem. On the State Department’s wait times table, last updated 21 October 2026, the next available B1/B2 interview showed as 10 months at both Abu Dhabi and Dubai, and no phone call changes that. Our guide to getting an earlier US visa appointment explains the practical options.
We are a licensed private service in Dubai, not the embassy and not the helpline. We prepare the DS-160 and the file, then book and monitor appointments in your account so you do not have to keep checking the calendar yourself. Our US service is appointments in 7 working days, agreed in writing, fee refunded if missed. The visa decision always stays with the consular officer, and we never promise an outcome. If your trip is driven by a genuine emergency, we will also tell you honestly whether an expedite request is worth making.

The US Embassy in Abu Dhabi is on +971 2 414 2200. US citizens with emergencies can use the same number outside office hours.
No. The FAQ says earlier appointments are granted only if slots are available. You can log in at any time and book an earlier date if one has been released.
