What is an Estonia Schengen Visa?

An Estonia Schengen visa allows UAE residents to enter Estonia and travel freely across all 29 Schengen Area member countries. Where UAE Residents Apply for an Estonia Visa

Estonia has an Embassy in Abu Dhabi, at Etihad Towers, Office Tower 3, Level 2, and no consulate in Dubai. It is not represented here by another Schengen state, so it decides its own visas.

Applications are not lodged at the embassy itself. Estonia states that all Schengen visa applications should be submitted at a VFS Global centre in the UAE, and both the Dubai and Abu Dhabi routes exist with no allocation by emirate, so residents of Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, Abu Dhabi and Al Ain may use either.

We do not publish Estonia-specific street addresses for those centres. No Estonian or VFS source publishes them, and guessing from a neighbouring country’s page is how people end up at the wrong building. Use the address printed on your appointment confirmation.

Check your eligibility before anything else. UAE passport holders need no visa at all. Non-UAE nationals holding a valid Emirates ID may apply through the Abu Dhabi mission. Anyone in the UAE without an Emirates ID must apply in their home country instead, so a visitor to the Emirates cannot use this route.

Note also that the embassy reserves the right to call an applicant in for questioning in Abu Dhabi. For a Dubai-based applicant who lodged in Dubai, that is a real trip at short notice, so allow for it before committing to non-refundable travel.

Two Estonian rules decide most files. The first is the money: a ten-day trip needs EUR 700, roughly AED 3,000, demonstrably available. Very few missions publish a figure at all, which is why applicants are refused against a number they never saw. The second is the signature: incomplete applications are not accepted at the centre and there is no correcting the form there, so check it before printing.
