The German missions in the Emirates work exclusively through VFS Global. Applications are accepted by appointment only, and there is a jurisdiction rule that is applied strictly at the counter:
- Residents of Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah submit at the Germany visa application centre in Dubai.
- Residents of Abu Dhabi and Al Ain submit at the Germany visa application centre in Abu Dhabi.
The address on your Emirates ID decides which centre applies to you, not which one is easier to reach. Turning up at the wrong centre means your file is not accepted that day, and the appointment is lost.
