The visa you need

Choosing the consulate

Apply to the country where you will spend the most nights; if the nights are split evenly, to your country of first entry. This is a rule, not a preference — applying elsewhere to chase an earlier appointment risks an inadmissible file.

Finances: the deciding factor

Consulates expect roughly EUR 50–100 per day of your trip to be available, on top of prepaid flights and hotels. But the number is less important than the story your statements tell. Salary arriving monthly and a balance that grew gradually is convincing. A large deposit landing days before you apply is the single most common trigger for refusal, because it looks like borrowed money staged for the application. Business travel and events

Many Egyptian professionals in the UAE travel to Europe for trade fairs, conferences and client meetings. These are among the easiest cases to approve when they are properly evidenced: an invitation from the European company or event organiser, a letter from your UAE employer confirming your role and that they expect you back, and proof of who is paying.
