So the fast track is real, but it is not a way to apply for a US visa inside the UAE while the suspension lasts.

With local services paused, most UAE residents who need a US tourist or business visa are applying as third country nationals. That means booking your US visa interview at an embassy or consulate in another country that is operating normally. If the post you choose takes part in the $750 pilot, you may be able to pay the expedite fee there and get an earlier interview date.

Before you go down this route, think about a few things:

• Third country eligibility. Each US post sets its own rules on whether it accepts applicants who do not live there, and applying somewhere you have no ties can raise questions at the interview.
