**Quick answer:** For US visa questions, do not call the embassy switchboard. Contact the visa customer service centre on **+971 4 205 5981** (or +1 313 262 5702 from the United States) or email **support-uae@usvisascheduling.com**, Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 17:00 UAE time, in English, Arabic or Farsi. The US Embassy in Abu Dhabi (+971 2 414 2200) and the US Consulate General in Dubai (+971 4 309 4000) numbers are mainly for US citizens, including emergencies. The helpline can fix account and booking problems, but it cannot create earlier slots or decide a visa.

Most people searching for the “US embassy Dubai contact number” want help with a visa appointment, and that call often goes to the wrong place. The switchboards handle US citizen matters, while visa bookings, payments and accounts are run by a separate customer service centre. Here is who to contact for what, with the details checked on 30 October 2026.

New to the process? Our [US visa from Dubai guide](https://visadoctor.ae/country-post/united-states/) explains the full B1/B2 application, step by step.

## Who to contact for what

Match your problem to the right channel before you pick up the phone. Visa questions go to the visa customer service centre or into your scheduling account; US citizen emergencies go to the embassy or consulate.

## The US visa helpline in the UAE: numbers, email, hours and languages

The visa helpline is run by the customer service centre on ustraveldocs.com/ae, and the US Mission’s visas page lists the same details. These are the contacts as published on 30 October 2026.

- **Phone from the UAE:** +971 4 205 5981.

- **Phone from the United States:** +1 313 262 5702.

- **Email for visa enquiries:** support-uae@usvisascheduling.com.

- **Email for American citizen enquiries:** support-acs-uae@usvisascheduling.com.

- **Hours:** Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 17:00 UAE time. During Ramadan the contact page lists 9:00 to 15:00.

- **Languages:** English, Arabic and Farsi speaking agents, according to the embassy’s visas page.

- **Closures:** closed on UAE national holidays, and the contact page adds US holidays.

### Talk to an Agent, Chat with Support and email

The ustraveldocs contact page offers four channels: Talk to an Agent, Chat with Support, Send an Email and Contact the HelpDesk. Talk to an Agent is a free, audio only call made through your browser in Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Opera. Chat with Support is a text chat on the same page. If you need a written record, use email.

## US Embassy Abu Dhabi and US Consulate Dubai: addresses and switchboards

Use these details for US citizen matters and for finding the building, not for visa questions.

- **US Embassy Abu Dhabi:** Airport Road at Rabdan (29th) Street, Embassies District, Plot 38, Sector W59-02, Street No. 4, P.O. Box 4009, Abu Dhabi. Phone +971 2 414 2200.

- **US Consulate General Dubai:** corner of Al Seef Road and Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Road, Dubai. The visas page gives the street address as 8 Al Seef Street, Umm Hurair 1. Phone +971 4 309 4000.

There is no separate US embassy in Dubai; the Dubai office is a consulate general. For directions, what to bring and what is not allowed through security, read our [full guide to the US Embassy Abu Dhabi and US Consulate Dubai](/us-embassy-abu-dhabi-us-consulate-dubai-visa-appointments/).

## How to raise a request inside your scheduling account

Many visa problems are solved faster inside your own account than by phone. The UAE uses ustraveldocs.com/ae for information and usvisascheduling.com for the account itself.

- **Corrections and general requests.** On Visa Application Home, select “Feedback/Requests”, or “Information Correction” if that is the only option shown. If you cannot log in, email support-uae@usvisascheduling.com.

- **Earlier dates.** The embassy says you can log in and book an earlier appointment, if one is available, at any time. Check after the Friday release, 7:30 to 11:30 UAE time except on US and UAE holidays.

- **Expedite requests.** Book the earliest regular appointment first, then select “Emergency Request” and “Create Emergency Request”, answer the questions and upload your evidence. Only one request is allowed per application. Our [expedited appointment guide](/us-visa-expedited-appointment-dubai/) explains what evidence helps.

- **DS-160 number changes.** A submitted DS-160 cannot be edited, so a correction means a new form and an update to your appointment. See [how to change the DS-160 confirmation number on a UAE appointment](/change-ds-160-confirmation-number-us-visa-appointment-uae/).

Replies about expedite requests come by email from do-not-reply@usvisascheduling.com, so check your junk and spam folders. If you cannot get into your account at all, our guide to [ustraveldocs and usvisascheduling account recovery](/ustraveldocs-usvisascheduling-uae-account-recovery-profile-changes/) covers passwords, security questions and locked profiles.

## What the helpline can and cannot do

The helpline gives general information and fixes account and booking issues. It cannot produce appointments that do not exist, and it has no say in the visa decision.

Agents can help with payments, profile access and the booking steps. The terms say they cannot help complete the DS-160 or DS-260, advise which visa class to apply for, or say which documents to bring to the interview. The call centre cannot schedule an expedited appointment for you, earlier appointments are granted only if slots are available, and the decision to issue or refuse a visa is made solely by the embassy or consulate.

The calendar is the real problem. On the State Department’s wait times table, last updated 21 October 2026, the next available B1/B2 interview showed as 10 months at both Abu Dhabi and Dubai, and no phone call changes that. Our [guide to getting an earlier US visa appointment](/early-us-visa-appointment-dubai/) explains the practical options.

## Common mistakes when contacting the US embassy

- **Calling the switchboard about a visa.** The embassy and consulate numbers are for US citizen services and emergencies. Visa questions belong with the service centre.

- **Emailing passport scans unprompted.** Send personal documents only through the official channels, and only when the process asks for them.

- **Paying unofficial sites.** Only the payment options listed on ustraveldocs.com/ae are authorised, and payments made any other way cannot be used to schedule.

- **Paying twice after an error.** The terms say in capitals not to pay the fee a second time, because it will not be refunded. Check your bank account and contact the centre instead.

- **Using bots or auto refresh extensions.** The terms ban automated access, and login attempts per day are limited. Breaking these rules can lead to a temporary account suspension.

- **Missing the reply.** Expedite decisions and many updates arrive by email, so check spam before you chase.

## How Visa Doctor helps

We are a licensed private service in Dubai, not the embassy and not the helpline. We prepare the DS-160 and the file, then book and monitor appointments in your account so you do not have to keep checking the calendar yourself. Our US service is appointments in 7 working days, agreed in writing, fee refunded if missed. The visa decision always stays with the consular officer, and we never promise an outcome. If your trip is driven by a genuine emergency, we will also tell you honestly whether an expedite request is worth making.
